Hmong embroidered cushion with beads LC11

Hmong embroidered cushion with beads LC11

I made this cushion using a vintage Hmong baby carrier from the hills of Northern Thailand. Traditionally a Hmong mother or grandmother takes a great deal of care hand embroidering intricate designs which signify the baby's family clan, and include symbols of good health and fortune. May this cushion bring you the same!
Vintage Hmong embroidered front. 1970's? Backed with wool. Dry clean only.
Filling: 100% polyester. Complies with BS 5852 part 2, ignition source 2. Plump regularly to maintain fullness. Sponge clean only.
Duck feather filling available on request, for approximately £20.
